No, these plants are not the same. Pony tail palm (Beaucarnea recurvata) grows much larger than 'Frizzle Sizzle' (Albuca spiralis). More importantly, their care needs are a bit different. 'Frizzle Sizzle' will go dormant and lose its upper foliage in the summer while pony tail palm won't. We've sold pony tail palm in the past. It is a gorgeous plant!
