Soft leaves could be a sign of many different issues. As such, I think your best course of action would be to take a picture of the plant and email it to info@mountaincrestgardens.com along with the following information.
1) Growing conditions (full sun, part sun, filtered sun, indoors, outdoors, etc.) 2) Soil used for planting 3) Watering schedule 4) Does the container have a hole for drainage?
Props to you for being on it early though! Split rock is a challenging plant and noticing these small changes is important.
